I've been using the service as a paid user for a few years now. I've noticed a few problems, but usually I can send a message to tech support, and they get resolved in a few days, which is pretty good. I can send and receive email from multiple addresses, and they all point to the same account. I can get notifications on my phone about new email, but not about calendar events. I wish they would add this basic feature, because I want to stop using Google Calendar.

Mail fence was a great solution for me since 2019 when I became a paid customer. Two months ago I updated my account information ahead of the annual subscription. To my surprise, I got an email from Mail fence saying my account "was scheduled for deletion due to inactivity" even though I use the service almost daily. I emailed customer support to resolve the issue. They sent a confirmation of the scheduled deletion and have ghosted me ever since. Users beware.

It was a huge mistake to sign up for social media using a mail fence address. I literally can't get 2FA codes to sign in: the emails don't even go through the Spam folder. Some addresses like substack or Bluesky are in their blacklist. White lists are available in the paid version I've heard, but I'm not sure it will work. A huge problem maker, awful app. I switched to Proton mail instead.
