This app is absolutely terrible, it is always a game of chance if it will work or not. Most of the time I try use it I get an error message. The help line that barmer offers is quite irrelevant, at the end of the conversation there is no solution but to "try using the app later".

Very disappointed with the Android version of the app. During registration, the 6-digit PIN cannot be entered. Although I tap the numbers, nothing appears in the PIN boxes, so I can't complete the setup. Even the staff at the Barmer office couldn't fix it. However, the same account worked perfectly on my husband's iPhone. This seems to be an Android-specific bug. Please investigate and fix it.

Seems like it's not possible to use the app on a rooted device. And with the upcoming enforcement of passkeys, the web login is no longer an option unless you purchase extra 2FA Hardware. Great. I get that SMS sucks as a second factor, but why can't I just use my own 2FA app instead? And no, looking at your FAQ regarding passkeys on Linux, storing the second factor in the same password manager where I'm storing my password kinda ruins the purpose entirely.

Probably the worst app I've ever installed. In the last year it has not once worked for me. Switched to a different Krankenkasse because of this.
