Microsoft Planner requires an eligible Office 365 work or school subscription. This app does not support Office 365 personal accounts (for example: name@outlook.com or name@hotmail.com). If you are not sure about your company’s subscription or the services you have access to, please contact your IT department.
Planner provides a simple, visual way to organize teamwork. Planner makes it easy for your team to create new plans, organize and assign tasks, share files, chat about what you’re working on, and get updates on progress.
-- Organize work visually -- Each plan has its own board, where you can organize tasks into buckets. You can categorize tasks based on their status or on whom they’re assigned to. To update the status or change assignments, just drag and drop tasks between columns.

I use this planner every day as part of my workflow. It integrates with outlook and the microsoft to-do list exceptionally well. It's a great place to create checklists and notes to track your projects. It is flexible enough that you can work the way you want to and simple enough. That it has low overhead.

Very good app to organize your or your team's work: lets you assign tasks with deadlines, visualize them in a list, graph and calendar, see their level of progression. Downside is, there seems to be no way to add repetition of tasks automatically and there seems to be no way to visualize all the tasks listed in the calendar option...

Very good app. Easily plan your work a d assign the responsibility to colleagues. One feature is required to restrict the task editing by everyone. Also, daily reminder of the work assigned of coming week or coming month.

UX is horrid. UI is dated. Many crucial features unavailable on Android. You can't even create a plan ! A planner that doesn't allow you to create the task the app is made for. You have to use the web version in order to have that feature enabled. When you know there are free and open source devs working alone and make wonderful, functional apps, but a company as large as Microsoft can't even do a useful app...

You can't open premium plans in the app. It's useless for paying customers and only works for free plans. Explain that to me.
