Mira: HD & MKV Video Player

Mira is a video and audio player that plays nearly any format without conversion, with 4K HDR playback, gesture controls, and subtitle support built in.

CORE FEATURES

All-Format Playback: MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WMV, FLV, 3GP, M4V, TS, MPG, and WEBM, with hardware-accelerated HEVC, AV1, and VP9 decoding.

4K HDR: play up to 4K at 60fps with HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision Profile 5 support on compatible devices.

Subtitles: load external SRT files or use embedded ASS/SSA subtitles, switch between multiple audio and subtitle tracks, and adjust subtitle style.

Gesture Controls: swipe to seek, slide the screen edges for brightness and volume, long-press for fast playback, and pinch to zoom.

Big-Screen and Multitasking: send video to a Chromecast or Google TV device, shrink playback into a picture-in-picture window, or let audio continue while you use other apps.

Watch Streak: an optional daily watch streak with badges at 1, 7, 30, 100, and 365 days.

Lightweight: built on Media3 ExoPlayer, under 9MB to install, with a fast cold start.

Available in 37 languages.

HOW YOUR DATA IS HANDLED

Mira plays your local video files without uploading them anywhere. The app shows ads to stay free, and like most ad-supported apps, the ad network can collect device identifiers, approximate location, and app interaction data for ad delivery. See the Data Safety section below for the full, current breakdown of what's collected.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Anyone who wants one player that handles whatever format a video file comes in, with smooth 4K playback, real gesture controls, and Chromecast support, instead of juggling multiple apps or converting files first.
