Update: Latest firmware improved reliability. The app is five star, the device not so much. Neat gizmo. Isn't very accurate with regard to path following, but it typically manages to go to the general locations, and often makes its way back to base. Installation was straightforward. Cannot be trusted unattended. Hopefully future software and firmware updates with make this a five-star device.

5 star for the idea and the hardware. Software side need improvement, optimization needed. App drains the battery fast, sometimes the icons not responding on touch, hope it will work the icons a little bit more big. Seems ok with my iPad but in case of mobile it's frustrating sometimes. Notification and smart detect worked only with a subscription. Wi-Fi reception is also not good, need to be close (router)So finally, if you're looking for a camera on wheels with path planning it's a good choice.

Firmware is broken (does not reconnect to Wi-Fi after any power off) and the app is very challenging to use. Does not meet expectations, nor live up to what the Kickstarter campaign claimed and support for the product is horrible.

Patrol mode is trash. iRobot can do it why can't this? It never takes the correct path and if it bumps into something forget it ever finding home. It's an expensive camera you can drive around your home while your away.

Scout routinely disconnects from the network and needs to be manually reset to make it work, making it pointless because you need to be near it to reset it. Contacted support multiple times, but they are unable to resolve the issue and have now stopped replying. If you have a mesh network, it refuses to swap to other routers on the network and as soon as you are out of range of the first router it is connected to, the connection drops and it disconnects again. Frustrating and expensive bit of kit
