Works sometimes Nest thermostat always shows as offline. I've done the troubleshooting on the website but my thermostat keeps going offline. I live away from any major sources of disruption but it's constantly disconnecting. App also needs a home screen widget.

5 months before it started working again. What is the use of an app to control an internet connected thermostat when a software update for the thermostat makes it go offline frequently? Everything was working OK when the thermostat was on 4.2.5 software, but after the 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 updates, it was frequently going offline for me and many other users. After a monumental effort of dealing with Nest's support, it took them 5 months to finally release 4.3.6, restoring the functionality they had in 4.2.5. That was 5 months customers were stuck with buggy software because nobody could revert their thermostats to the previous version that worked. These guys need to learn about software QA and testing before they force update buggy software onto customers with no option of reverting to the previous version. New versions == new bugs, always.
