With the Cochlear™ Nucleus® Smart App you can control your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor directly from your compatible mobile device for a personalised hearing experience.
With the Nucleus Smart App, you can: - Change programs on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor and activate Cochlear True Wireless™ streaming - Activate audio streaming on compatible Android devices (see Compatibility section below) - Adjust the volume, treble/bass and sensitivity settings (if enabled by your healthcare professional) on your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor - Adjust the volume of your Cochlear True Wireless™ devices - Locate your lost Nucleus 7 Sound Processor - View Nucleus 7 Sound Processor status and battery level - Track time in spent in speech and number of coil offs
Note: To access the complete functionality of the Nucleus Smart App you will need a Cochlear Account, or you can try the app in Demo Mode. To use the Nucleus Smart App, you first need to pair your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor with a compatible mobile device. Compatibility: To use the Nucleus Smart App for Android, your device will need to run Android 8 or later and support Bluetooth 4.0 and later. Audio streaming is only available on Android devices where the device manufacturer has enabled Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) technology. For a list of verified devices or to learn more about devices that support audio streaming visit https://www.cochlear.com/compatibility.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The Nucleus Smart App only uses your GPS when it detects your Nucleus 7 Sound Processor has been lost or turned off, and does not constantly track your location. This app is excellent in use for my Nucleus 8 processor however there are some glitches that I can't connect, so I had to re-connect it again so many times.

App works great, but I am BEGGING for you all to put a quick access button on main screen for microphones to turn on and off quickly. I turn my microphones off often to hear phone calls better or to stream without distraction and all the clicking to get to it is an inconvenience.

It was working well for a few months, but I have an issue so when I connect with Bluetooth it just automatically turns off my phone and back on and off on repeat, so I don't know if it's an issue with an app or my phone

Works fine with my Cochlear Nucleus CI paired with my Resound acoustic hearing aid in my other ear. Initial pairing required some fiddling and help from my Audiologist. Will lose pairing to one or the other for no apparent reason. The Music setting allows for pumping up the treble, which is not needed for most of us, and the bass, which most of us do need. As a guitarist, I know the hearing of my guitar will get better with time. No fault to the App; that's the nature of CI. Battery % is poor.

This nucleus app is absolutely one problem after another, always disconnecting and says can't detect my processor. And further more was updated a couple of weeks ago, and it's even worse, but unfortunately I have to put up with it when I have a nucleus cochlear. I'd like to add my nucleus cochlear itself is great, edit a few weeks after my review yet another app update and now my hearing aid doesn't connect to the app anymore, cochlear no problems!

My mom has a Kanso 2 processor and a Google Pixel 8 phone. I've had it set up for the past 2 years and all of a sudden around June It will just drop connection and won't pair up together. I've shut her phone off shutter processor off turn them both back on they won't pair. I've had to uninstall the app and remove the connection in the Bluetooth and download them both, and it works for a day or two then goes back to dropping connection. Audiologist looked at it yesterday and system is working fine

I got this app when I was in Freshman year of high school, great app, but it would always say my implant wasn't connected, this got worse as I got my second implant in Dec, 2024. I had my first implant in 2010ish. I have two implants now, I am struggling all the time and one won't connect then another day the other won't connect. Now I am struggling to get my left implant to even connect to my Bluetooth and the app, this is annoying, and I control everything on this app, I hope this can be fixed.
