Off Duty: Sleep Training

Lying awake, thinking about lying awake? Off Duty is a sleep training program for insomnia-prone nights: one short relaxation session a night, in bed, to learn to switch off and fall asleep faster.

The method comes from military sleep training. In 1942, at the U.S. Navy Pre-Flight School, cadets learned to relax on command: release the face, drop the shoulders, let the arms and legs go heavy, then clear the mind. Off Duty turns that routine into a 6-week bedtime program you run with the lights off.

HOW IT WORKS
• Set your lights-out. Off Duty counts down to it and reminds you when it is time to wind down.
• Run tonight's session: a guided drill on a dark screen, one order at a time, with breathing and body scan steps.
• 42 sessions across 6 weeks. Each week builds on the last, from face and shoulders to breath, full body, a calm still mind, and finally falling asleep on command.
• Keep your night streak and climb the ranks, from Recruit to Captain. Every week of training earns a promotion and a new soldier for your profile.

3 AM MODE
Awake in the middle of the night? Flip to red. The screen dims to a low red light, the kind pilots use to keep their night vision, and a short drill takes over instead of the feed.
