The instructions were not easy to follow. I had to make several attempts before I could download a photo from my phone, and several attempts to download the Rail Card to my phone. The whole process took much longer than the ten minutes it should have taken.

I really do not understand why if I use this app. To renew a yearly senior Railcard and choose to download a new digital card instantly, that I have to provide a photo of myself but if I renew on your website I can receive a plastic Railcard I don't? What difference is there ? Once again I've renewed to receive a new one by post.

Some perspective here - this app is literally "buy a thing and display the receipt on request". The fact that it took me so long to actually make the purchase is unbelievably bad in 2026. All I needed to do was Renew, but still had to resubmit forms, photos etc. Also pretty sure this app violates Android T&C by not offering payment through the app store.

Not impressed by Railcard not working because "photo missing". I closed app, opened it again, all ok. Not good when the ticket inspector is there waiting.
