Rec'n'Share allows you to record audio and video along with songs from your music library and then share your performances with the world. It digitally enhances the way you practice, record and perform music.
Produce high-quality performance videos easily. Connect a compatible Yamaha instrument to your smart phone/tablet (*1) to simultaneously record video from your phone’s camera, stereo digital audio from your Yamaha product and stereo backing tracks from your music library (*2) (*3). After recording, use the app’s editing functions to trim and balance the tracks.
Enrich your practice. Pick a song from your music library and the app’s tempo detection lets you add a click, change the tempo and select sections to repeat. It’s practice made perfect. The Audio Track Separation function, available in Version 3, allows you to adjust the volume of specific tracks (vocals, drums, bass, etc.) of your favorite songs. Enjoy practicing and recording more with your favorite songs in the background.
Share with the world! You can upload your finished performances to YouTube / Facebook / Dropbox / Instagram etc (*4). Whether you’re uploading YouTube covers or collaborating on recording original songs, Rec'n'Share lets you share your music with people all over the world !

The app stopped working for me using Samsung A71 (I was pretty bummed out) then I got an SM X800 Samsung tablet, and it works and also work well on Google Pixel 8 pro. Every once in a while a recording won't get stored into my recordings, but that's minor compared to not working at all. I was using a Samsung A71 and no sound would get recorded. Now seems to work fine with the pixel 8 pro and Samsung SM X800 tablet (I'm recording with an EAD 10 module as well. Don't know about other electronic modules

I suggest adding more models like dgx, ydp & clp. This will ease recording process and will increase production of high quality sound videos and this will benefit the buyer (he will not spend time with editing videos) and also will benefit the company as this will be important part of marketing process and will show many high quality videos of high quality sound of Yamaha company so more sales growth

I don't even know what is with the criticizing comments but for my experience it actually works with the USB connection. I'm able to record and play at the same time while playing with my Yamaha dtx402k rather than buying an Irig. I also like the fact this app gives you an automatic bpm for your selected song. For my suggestions, I wish the song is not delayed when the record is starting, so I can play properly, and I'm also hoping for a feature where you can use streaming services. Good App!

BUG: I record a video. I save it. Then I go to my recorded songs. And sometimes it's not there. My perfect take is gone. Thank you.

Horrible. I've had multiple issues with recording on an Android. I've had videos disappear out of nowhere and endless bugs.

This app is garbage. They didn't even try, I can't believe this is how Yamaha owners are treated. The songs disappear even after being saved, no matter where you put the save folder, and if you manage to find the video in your stock camera/video app there is no sound. There is no way to send these videos to anyone you know, not over texts, not over messages on social media like Facebook. You can't even watch the videos yourself. I bought the brand new PSR EW425 only to discover unusable app.
