Description
A single river number rarely tells the whole story. Rivorad holds modeled discharge against recent context so you can see movement, uncertainty, and the points you need to verify.
Build your watchline Search for a town, district, or landmark near a river reach. Review the returned coordinates before saving, then fetch the nearest modeled river cell. Rivorad never asks for device location.
Read the river ribbon Explore up to 92 days of recent modeled history alongside a 30-day forecast. The interactive ribbon separates history from the forecast median and keeps the 25th–75th percentile range visible. Drag across any day to inspect its value.
Understand context, not a verdict Rivorad compares the latest modeled value with the point's own recent median and day-to-day movement. Descriptive bands such as steady, changing, rising, and high relative are evidence prompts—not flood categories or safety labels.
Compare reaches Place up to four saved watchpoints on one horizon board. Each reach stays anchored to its own baseline, making differences in relative movement easier to discuss without pretending that raw discharge values carry the same meaning everywhere.
Keep a local plan Attach a private note to each watchpoint for a gauge link, contact, access detail, or verification routine. Set a personal relative-change marker and, if you choose, let Android check about twice daily and notify you when modeled flow crosses it.
Share the evidence Create a plain-language brief containing the source, update time, current context, uncertainty, and limitations. Cached context remains readable when a refresh is unavailable.
Important limits Rivorad uses Open-Meteo Flood API data based on GloFAS. These values are modeled at a geographic grid and may represent a different nearby river. Data can be delayed, missing, or revised. Rivorad is not an official gauge, emergency alert, evacuation instruction, navigation aid, or prediction of property inundation. Always verify with local authorities, official warnings, and on-site conditions before making safety decisions.
Recent changes: First release of Rivorad with place-reviewed watchpoints, 92-day model context, a 30-day uncertainty ribbon, reach comparison, private notes, optional threshold notifications, and shareable evidence briefs.
