As well as all of your favourite features such as changing your tariff, managing your monthly direct debit payments, entering your gas and electricity meter readings and keeping track of your gas and electricity usage with your smartphone on the go, we've also added a bunch of exciting new features for you to try!
Home Screen
It’s now easier than ever to find your key services within the app, we’ve organised the home screen by categories. You will see all of your energy account related features first and foremost as you told us these were most important to you. The home screen is personalised to you, depending on what features your account should have.
Smart Home
Homes are becoming more and more connected, with Smart Meters and Smart devices such as the new Honeywell Lyric Thermostat allowing us to gain more control of our home while on the go. The Smart Home section allows you quick and easy access to all of your Smart Home devices, right there on the home screen with just one click.
Electric Vehicles
As a company, we are committed to a cleaner energy future and we want to allow you to easily control your eco-friendly Electric Vehicle in the app, find your nearest charging point and see some other key information about your vehicle as we add more features to the app.
Stay Logged In
We have introduced the ability to stay logged in to the app. You may be used to this with some of your favourite apps, if you would like to log out each time the option is still there in My Account.

Are you on the best energy deal for you? Our online tariff selector lets you compare our available energy tariffs and it only takes a few minutes to choose a new tariff. WithFreedom, you can change to any ScottishPower tariff without paying exit fees.
Direct Debit Manager

Since switching to Scottish power we have definitely saved money on both gas and electric. The transition was fairly smooth, and it's easy to top up on the app. The rewards scheme is also good with points for gas and up to half price electric on chosen time slots

Never had a problem with scottish power. Got the smart meter and changed to pay as you go. I get 2 days free supply a month (I get to choose/change dates) and i am tenner emergency credit on both gas n electricity. Honestly, the best thing I ever did.

Gas smart Meter still not transferred from previous supplier. Despite contact via the app (as you can't talk to anyone) or reply to the emails they send you. They have said they are investigating this and it's been 8 months since I transferred. As soon as my contract ends I'm going to move away from them. Very poor service in my opinion.

Update Jul 3rd 2026: cannot access the app at all. Seems to send you to the website which does not open This is DISGRACEFUL! Update. 8.11.24. Please make the energy insights readable !!! When you go into 'additional categories' it won't stay visible long enough to read. These are the categories you need to identify to cut usage !!! What is going on? I go to 'energy usage' and it always says sorry, under maintenance. Useless! And it's linked to my smart meter. Why doesn't this work?

Not made for PAYG. I've had my utilities shut off several times since I switched from Utility. The app has no option to warn for low credit, or auto top up. The Utility app has all this, but according to the sales guy I would save money with them, which is important to me as I'm on benefits. However, when the electricity is being shut off without warning, I'm not impressed. Shouldn't be so hard to implement these options into the app honestly...
