So convenient and easy to use. Able to purchase tickets while waiting for the train from my car. Only catch is that they have to be validated prior to boarding otherwise you can get ticketed or penalized. Hope to see real time maps coming soon as well as café cart lol 😉!

I take the VRE train to and from work 5 days a week. This saves me from carrying a monthly paper pass, posts train schedule updates, lets me buy a new pass each month in the app, and validates easily with the train staff. This app makes train commuting MUCH easier, because it's very easy to use and all the functions are useful. THANKS, VRE!!

Security Hazard for vulnerable riders. VRE Mobile can turn off vibration warning&battery save., It control network connections to track your precise location using Wi-Fi & network 24/7 on the train and at work/home. Keolis installed cell phone IMEI sniffers in each train car - did you pay your fare? Go into your Settings and turn off all permissions! Or buy a paper ticket. VRE does not provide Wi-Fi on the train, because cell service sucks. The app can't find ticket (upon demand by conductor)

The app will not take my credit card or Smart benefits information. So. I can't use the app to purchase or validate tickets, forcing me to keep using hard copy tickets. The only thing I can assume is the software was developed for an iPhone, not for Android users. At least it gives me updated train status information. That's about all it's good for with my phone.
