Best thing I've bought for my active and adventurous son. He's preteen and so a cell phone was a no for me. The amiGO has been a great way to allow independence while still having peace of mind. Such a great gadget, the GPS is accurate, it looks cool and allows kids to keep in touch without having access to the known (since you control the contacts). If you are on the fence, GO for it. You won't be disappointed!

I'll start by saying my kids love this watch. It is easy for them to use, and they love the text and talk features. I had difficulty with their initial setup for the watches as it kept having error codes when downloading the E-sim cards. Once the watches were synced to my account and active, I was able to add on their contacts. I wish I could add on the text and call option without the contact being called a Guardian. I feel like that description should be reserved for the parents only.

Very limited functionality, as if we are in the Stone Age of apps. It is impossible to turn off the device location even from the parent phone, when kids are home. The overall interface is ridiculously archaic, the app crashes and doesn't give error explanations. It requires contacts to download the app to be able to video talk. My gosh, what a great idea and such poor execution of it! Please.... update.

I switched from a Galaxy S24 to the Galaxy s25 Ultra, and now I can't video call with my child. Whenever she calls me, it always says "Video Call Error", when I try to answer.

Like others have said, poor practical functionality. If my kids are trying to make a video call with the watch, a notification window with a decline and answer prompt shows up, but it literally will not make any sound, so if your screen is off, or you're not looking at it at that moment, you'll miss it, it's not unless you open the amigo app directly, that the video call gives a ringing notification. How do you screw something up that basic?! The limited configurability needs to be addressed.
