Love this for my kids. I like that they can call and text me as well as the fact I have GPS location on them. The video chat on the watch is actually pretty good. Very happy with the watch so far. At@t did send me a faulty watch and were refusing to take it back. We had to get management involved to get a replacement but so far it's a perfect device for children who may not be ready for a phone. I'd recommend getting a protective cover because it does scratch easily.

Best thing I've bought for my active and adventurous son. He's preteen and so a cell phone was a no for me. The amiGO has been a great way to allow independence while still having peace of mind. Such a great gadget, the GPS is accurate, it looks cool and allows kids to keep in touch without having access to the known (since you control the contacts). If you are on the fence, GO for it. You won't be disappointed!

I switched from a Galaxy S24 to the Galaxy s25 Ultra, and now I can't video call with my child. Whenever she calls me, it always says "Video Call Error", when I try to answer.

Very limited functionality, as if we are in the Stone Age of apps. It is impossible to turn off the device location even from the parent phone, when kids are home. The overall interface is ridiculously archaic, the app crashes and doesn't give error explanations. It requires contacts to download the app to be able to video talk. My gosh, what a great idea and such poor execution of it! Please.... update.
★★☆☆☆Daniel Skupien· May 20, 2026
Like others have said, poor practical functionality. If my kids are trying to make a video call with the watch, a notification window with a decline and answer prompt shows up, but it literally will not make any sound, so if your screen is off, or you're not looking at it at that moment, you'll miss it, it's not unless you open the amigo app directly, that the video call gives a ringing notification. How do you screw something up that basic?! The limited configurability needs to be addressed.
