Monitor your energy consumption anytime, anywhere with Bright. For real-time data you need Glowmarkt compatible hardware - which works with either smart or traditional meters. People with SMETS2 (or E&A SMETS 1) meters can access their half hourly data with Bright for free, once they go through our verification process. Bright lets you check your energy consumption, this could be electricity and gas usage from your smart meters, via the DCC or our Consumer Access Device (CAD). Clamp-on technology sensors can support electricity usage monitoring.

Simple to set up the app was working within a day of commissioning of my electricity smart meter. The IHD from my electricity supplier has never displayed my gas consumption but Bright displays both gas and electric usage with a few hours delay. Has a clean, uncluttered UID which is quick to navigate. Have tried other apps but this gives the best UX and allows me to make informed decisions about my energy use. Update: I'm now on a ToU tariff and app correctly displays my half-hourly costs.

This was the second smart-meter app I tried. The first one failed to download our data and I gave up waiting after 5 weeks. The Bright app performed perfectly, thus proving that our new smart meter HAS been providing 30-minute data to the DCC ever since it was installed! So I told our energy supplier the fault MUST lie with them and threatened to complain to OFGEM. Our account was fixed within days! Well done Bright! Love the bar charts and the Excel-ready CSV downloadable files.

This app is still showing April 2022 tariff, and according to support I have to call my energy supplier because my meter is wrong. My meter nor my IHD are NOT wrong, they are showing the correct tariffs, the apps are showing the correct tariffs. As this has not updated the form April to October to Januarys tariffs, it's a pointless app. There are many other apps that do the same job and use the correct tariff. DELETED.

Up until a few weeks ago this was a 5-star app but for some reason it no longer registers my cheap night electricity rate. It puts all my consumption on the day rate even though I've always entered the two rates manually. As I charge my car on a night I'm getting wildly out readings so is no longer usable.

Signed up in the hope that this app would show "meter readings". All it does is give me usage readings. Subtle, but important difference. This app replicates most info that my provider's app gives, less meter readings. Smart Gas Meter regular readings are still rare as rocking horse poo. Provider is able to retrieve readings, why can't I. It's my data. Uninstalled.
