Description
Climatology gives you climate information for anywhere on Earth: temperature, rain and sunniness. Whether finding where are the warm, dry places to go on holiday in December, or avoiding rain for your wedding, to finding out what the climate is like in Kazakhstan in April, Climatology allows you to discover the information you want.
Note that this is an experimental release. We would like to receive feedback from users as we continue the development process. Send an e-mail with your thoughts to climatology@microsoft.com. We are currently only supporting the latest version of Android. Support for earlier versions will be considered for a future release.
Recent changes: We are sorry to announce that as of June 30th 2016, the Climatology app will be closing due to the completion of our research project and no longer available for use.

It has potential. The UI is nice. Even though it doesn't follow the new Google app UI guidelines, it's nice to have a different take on things and Microsoft stuff always looks nice. That being said, it needs improvements. Like how it always defaults to United Kingdom. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see how to change this. The information is more graphical than numerical data centered, which is sometimes nice, but it's also nice to see numbers broken down. A widget could be useful. Gear it a little more towards an everyday useful app rather than a planning app, and you'll probably get more people to use it. Still, a great job on concept. Just not for me. And now as I write this...I can't uninstall it!! You click uninstall and all that pops up is a splash screen with the logo. wth!?!!

Fantastic idea, but could be better. This app is a good solid idea, and I wanted to try it because I've been curious about climates in the world, but this app needs SERIOUS refinement. Among other things: The graphics are pixelated, and it is difficult to read the maps through the climate data overlays, which also look very crude. The settings and interface are not very intuitive, and the data isn't really presented in a very clear way. I also wish there were a way to search by climate attributes and not just by location.
