Text now is awesome. If you ever need free phone service for any reason, it's the best option. They have free esims now, and you can stay on the free ads plan. And the offline service works great.

I get it...this app IS a lifesaver when you can't pay your cellphone bill. As long as your on Wi-Fi you can make calls & texts to anywhere. But it's well known to drastically slow phones down, even cause bug like issues that go away as soon as its uninstalled. They now added rewards for stuff. I guess for $10 they mail you a sim card you can use for calls, texts & limited data for $10 a week. Last you can lock your number. I admit it's a must-have back-up. But 4 stars until they fix bug issues

This app is horrible. It won't let me answer my phone calls. Most of my text messages don't even come through to me when I message somebody, and they respond I don't get their messages. It won't let me listen to any of my voicemails. The voicemails will play but no sound comes out of them. I cannot get a hold of support. Every time I try to contact support via text message chat whatever it is it always tells me that it's going to be 15 minutes. But never respond.

...and to add insult to injury, it now tries to "confirm it's me" for every single message, and even after said verification (by pressing/holding the button) still fails to send, so virtually impossible to text. This only started happening in the last few days. SMS Verification codes do NOT work. Ridiculous amount of pop-up ads and clickbait-with many embedded right in the texting UI, so you end up clicking on them accidentally when actually texting, unless very careful.

Only call and text is needed. Leave me alone with these points. I'm not interested in your rewards or having my activity tracked without my permission. I don't care what you're trying to do, leave me alone. I don't want the reminder of my points or of how many days ive opened the app. Privacy and personal choice matter more than your business. I DO NOT CONSENT TO THE LOYALTY PROGRAM OFFERED BY TEXT NOW. The app lies and says I consented.
