All together this app is very useful however there are a few problems. One being that I couldn't control my eco thermostats from the app after they randomly got disconnected. Another being that when you try to turn off audio playing from speakers using a switch(not the app), it turns it off for a second before it turns on again (however I'm not sure if that's just a problem with my switch). One thing to note is that I DON'T have the Intercom system, so I can't comment on whether that works.

I had an issue with my Ocoee thermostat no longer connecting to the app. It said I needed to request a new PIN in the Extras tab, but it wasn't an option. I sent a customer service request through the Control4 website explaining my issue. They called me literally 15 minutes later and solved the issue in 5 minutes. If you have the same issue, just use their site's customer service portal, they're very helpful. The problem seems to just be due to an issue with a recent firmware update by Ocoee.

Excellent app!!! Works very well. Some appear to have issues with it because their system is outdated or the setup was not done properly. We have had no issues with Control4 since 2015. If the app doesn't work for you, it's your system setup or hardware; not the app. Or if the app does not open fast it's your connection; not the app. Ours works very well and it opens instantly, and we have many devices connected. Control4 has the best support on the market for automation.

The C4 app may be good for iOS, but it stinks for Android. Sluggish, unintuitive, and lacking basic features, like modifying lighting scenes for example. Spotify Connect is also a mess. It's about 60/40 against whether it works or not. Maybe even 70/30. It doesn't make me feel very good about dropping nearly $25k on my home automation system.

Control 4 is absolutely maddening. It works great one month, and then weird voodoo starts up such as lights randomly turning themselves on in the middle of the night. Spend some money for an extremely expensive technician to (eventually) fix it, only to discover that introduces new issues. It is a constant game of Whack-a-Mole, where each swing of the bat costs $$$, and they keep missing. Dealers are expensive and slow. As I approach year 6 with my system it is *almost* working now.

This app is so slow and frustrating. Also, I can't seem to find a way to access the intercom. Like, if I get the call, then I can, but if I accidentally swipe away, or, for some reason, I just don't get the call, I can't just call the intercom. Literally everyone in the household hates the app for different reasons.

Also, this app has removed connecting directly via IP address, this makes VPN access (via tun) no longer workable. This also makes this app useless on networks were you have you gear on different subnets for security reasons. Just avoid buying control4 products with this policy of forcing ppl to pay for remote access when it had this in the past
