Had a lot of issues at first, then I discovered if the gateway Ethernet is connected to my modem (not router) it works much better!

It's excellent to control the temperature and turn on the pumps and activate the lights. I wish it would allow you to set the light color and have more than low and high pump speeds. Would recommend. Useful to run the pumps more often and to turn up the heat before you get near the tub.

I am unhappy that CMS refuses to work if I do not give access to pictures and video - scarey! I hope someone fixes that soon! Please notify me if that gets fixed. Initially, CMS was almost always offline, until May 2023. With some short gaps, it seems pretty reliable now 12/2023. 3/2/24 Now works about 90% of the time, (which can be very aggravating when it doesn't).

I bought the Balboa 59303 ultra gateway module for my Catalina spa. It was easy to install and this is the app that you use with it. I love that I can see the temperature of my spa from my phone change the temperature turn the lights on and off etc. And by the way if you need Balboa support it doesn't get much better than Balboa.

Sales agent sold me on adding this Gateway Ultra. Well what's the point if it's all controlled by an app that doesn't work? I can't connect to my hot tub and when it does connect I can't update schedules or anything. I'm going to get a refund for this add-on from my spa manufacturer, and I'll be telling them exactly why.

Horrible new interface after the latest major update. I can't even change my water temp anymore, let alone any of the other settings on my spa.

I had added the app on our new tub to give me more peace of mind while traveling. I live in a cold environment, often well below 0. I expected that an app for control would minimally send push notifications of errors or low temperature deviations but this app does not provide any of this. I'll need to install a $10 Amazon temperature alarm to provide this functionality. CMS should include this ability!
