NB! Season tickets for buses and ferries are purchased in the Farte app, not in Farte Ferge.

Remember to buy the right ticket type before boarding, as the ticket is activated immediately after the purchase is completed. There is no seat reservation on the ferries.

Works well when you connect with Wi-Fi, but sometimes works only when you are on 4g. No Wi-Fi on Kragerø Ferries, so remember to buy the ticket on some Wi-Fi connection before you approach the ferry. Sometimes I get double charges, but mostly it says that it could mot connect to remote server when on 4G. I reinstalled the app. It remembered me and my credit card but my ticket history disappeared. This is actually not a recommendable app. Kragerø ferry crews say the app is not good also.

The app itself doesn't register tickets properly and often says you own tickets you don't or vice versa. As for the buses, only half of them show up, give or take. Be sure to stand in the sun because otherwise drivers will speed past you. They might anyway. Plan to be late by over an hour occasionally.
