Not very useful. App was able to find my JBL Bar 5.1 Surround. It seemed stuck for a while, luckily I was watching the display on the soundbar and figured it was updating the firmware. App also let me add the soundbar to my Alexa speakers. But that's about it, app doesn't let me control the soundbar in any way - volume, settings... nothing. So, as its name says, only useful for setup.

Basic app that does what it is created to do. I when I first got this soundbar a couple of years ago, I did have issues with the app and bar connecting to Wi-Fi and Google home connection was wonky. I but eventually it worked after a few times. When I had to reset the bar (because it had audio connection/lag) the setup worked fine afterward.

This app is broken junk. It gets stuck in a loop trying to connect to the JBL speaker Wi-Fi and won't proceed with set-up. I bought the soundbar a year ago and couldn't get it to work then either. I just revisited it and got the same results.

Trying to connect app to Soundbar 5.1. Can't get past "Connect your mobile device to Internet". Even when my phone is already connected.

DO NOT BUY!!! JBL BAR 5.1 The sound quality is mideocur at best. Wanting to get more out of the software side of things, but it fails me even more. This app is absolute junk. I've tried it for hours to connect to the set-up. My Wi-Fi network shows I am connected to the sound bar, but the app freezes at the "connect" to network page. I would return this product if I could.
