The wife purchased the ninja for my birthday, I was very against leaving my traditional bbq behind, but I have to admit its brilliant especially the smoker/temp prob with real time cooking and temp info directly to my phone. I purchased a thermometer, had I known I would be required to log in to use this app every time I would have left this on the shelf. Very disappointed with the need for background monitoring and the prompt every time it opens to be used being prompted to turn on the app all the time. Poor connectivity to the thermometer and very slow reaction times. The fit and finish of the hardware is great, the software/app would be the worst part. It's a thermometer, monitoring beyond use is unnecessary.

To many logins. App is a kludge. Just start over and full user control. Everything you touch restarts your settings. The local grill HMI is even worse
