Outlook Groups lets you engage with your team when you’re on the go using an Office 365 work or school account. Using Outlook Groups you can take part in the latest discussions, calendar events, share photos, attachments and notes, and work together on files.
You can:
• Create or edit groups that include team members or friends. • Participate in group email conversations. • Create and take part in group events using the group calendar. • Work together using the group’s shared OneNote notebook. • View and co-author Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) that are shared with your group. • Invite guests (people outside your organization) to participate in groups. • Share photos, Like a message, or @mention a person or group. • Share documents or attachments with the group. • Share places of interest with your co-workers or friends. • Share animated GIFs with your co-workers or friends. • Discover and join groups that your co-workers belong to. • Search for files, conversations, and groups.
NOTE: Outlook Groups for Android requires an Office 365 Enterprise or Academic subscription license to sign in to the app. Office 365 Home, Personal, Student, and Government plans are not currently supported. Please contact your IT department if you don’t know which type of license you’ve been assigned.

It's really effective in accessing files, organisation and collaboration. Collaboration is done with accessing others files. Accessing files are with a simple tap. But there are problems on all forms of softwares, from PCs to budget phones. You should be able to set a certain password for people to access your files. Like a 6-digit code which is accessed via user permission. This can drastically prevent plagiarism and others deleting your files. This would be paramount during exams, assignments and your projects. Another thing (only for mobile) is access to Delve. So you can edit your profile via this app. It would be easier to personalise without going to a PC and finding the website.

** Update! App is working as designed now. No more crashing when opening a message. Dec. 11 update has seem to correct the issue. Thank you Microsoft for addressing the issue! ** When first installed app it worked as designed. I really like that we have started using Groups at our rather large company, we use most every 365 app. However, the last update has caused this app to close each time I attempt to open a message to view the contents! Our Groups are growing daily. I had just finished our teams Group for collaboration when the app was updated and now my users are wearying of Groups. S7 Edge, most all Microsoft apps installed and working as designed. Please help or provide a rollback.

I only just installed it, but already I'm displeased. No widget? I want to be able to SEE a few group events without opening the app. Of course, I SHOULD be able to view my group calendar through the Outlook app without installing this to begin with... 😣

HELP! Can anyone explain how I can get notifications for emails that are sent to the group?? I have all my notification settings turned on and emails to the group still do not cause a notification.
