RiggerSpan Oar Kit

RiggerSpan Oar Kit is an offline-first rowing rigging geometry studio for college crew, masters clubs, sculling coaches, boatmen, and learn-to-row programs. The core is a live rigger workbench—not a session log—so you can dial span, work-through, height, pitch, oar or scull length, inboard, and blade family and immediately see how gearing, arc length, handle overlap, catch and finish angles, and load feel move together.

Lock a boat class (1x, 2−, 2x, 4+, 4x, or 8+), set your numbers, and watch a top-down rigger diagram with force-arc overlay update in real time. Signature gearing dial and handle-overlap meters clamp impossible combinations—such as inboard versus length or span versus boat class—and surface clear on-diagram warnings so you catch bad setups before you walk to the rack.

Build and reuse custom hull and oar cards, browse a seeded catalog of common spans, lengths, and blade standards (hatchet, smoothie, fat blades, and more), and save named boat setups on device. Duplicate, rename, pin favorites, and open any setup straight into the workbench. Dual-compare parks two full rigs side by side—heavyweight 8+ versus lightweight, scull versus sweep—with delta chips on gearing, arc, and overlap.

Toggle cm/in with clean conversion, add coach notes per setup, and open a reference library of rigging terms and formula cards for athletes and new boatmen. Everything stays local: rich seed geometry, working editors, Room persistence, and zero account requirement—no cloud, no login, no notifications.

Ideal when you need fast, honest feedback on span, inboard, and blade choices before practice or race day. Set a default boat class and units, tune diagram density, reset the seed catalog when you want a clean slate, and keep your shelf of rigs ready offline wherever the boathouse takes you.

First release ships a live rigger workbench: adjust span, work-through, height, pitch, oar length, and inboard while gearing, arc, overlap, and catch/finish angles recompute on a top-down force-arc diagram. Includes boat-class presets (1x–8+), dual-compare with delta chips, seeded oar/blade catalog plus custom cards, named on-device setup shelf, cm/in toggle, and rigging formula reference—all offline with no account.
