Comments on Sheiko Gold: Weight Training for Android

★★★★★ Frank Baele · Jan 5, 2023

One of the best no bs training apps for powerlifting. The AI auto adjustments to the training programs is top-notch. After 6 months of monthly payments I switched to lifetime subscription because I will be training with the app for a long time to come.

★★★★★ Nick Keller · Oct 1, 2020

Impressive! Still in the observation phase, but so far so good. I was using the old Sheiko app/templates with good results, but Sheiko Gold is a massive improvement. I've always struggled with auto regulation so look forward to seeing how I can improve with the app managing this aspect of training.

★★★★☆ George Proner · Mar 14, 2021

Good app for powerlifting programming. I've only been using it for 2 months with intermittent access to the gym and without tapering towards a competition, and put 10lbs on my bench. My issue with it is there is nowhere to input cardio which is necessary for every athlete. There is also a lack of good accessory lifts already preprogrammed like standing overhead press, kettle bell swings, dumbbell rows, bent over rows, etc. They can be added manually, however. Lack of body weight option for weight.

★★☆☆☆ razvan rfderdf · Oct 1, 2020

Same workouts but a new layout. After 30 days you actually pay for the same workouts the only difference being you get the daily workouts with less input from you.

★☆☆☆☆ sam haddad · Oct 25, 2024

The old program was great but ever since they did the overhaul the app programs all my weights wrong. The start weights are greater than my 1rep max or so light that I could do 100 reps of the weight. It's very disappointing since I've used shaikh gold for almost 3 years and loved it up till the overhaul/update that broke it.

★☆☆☆☆ Fil Pereira · Aug 8, 2021

Works like it says it should and we'll enough. Except, it doesn't mention a subscription until the free period runs out. Or at least I didn't see mention of it. Then it constantly asks for background battery permissions, even tho, seems to work without it. The fact that it constantly asks...and asks and asks. Never stoping, seems sketchy. Like it wants you to hit ok out of reflex. Not a fan
