This is for a Panasonic Interios heat pump in the US, (so maybe call this app Panasonic North America). App lacks options that the wall unit has that the app could do more easily. Scheduling for Heat automatically runs Heat with Aux. Lots left wanting with the UX and functionality.

This application comes across as an afterthought. It's pretty obvious it's just a generic interface that was provided by Midea for use by Panasonic (and most likely any of the other brands that choose to use Midea equipment for their heat pumps). The Panasonic thermostat isn't the most intuitive, but there's more functionality there than there is in this app. For example, it's not possible to schedule heating only. It always turns on heat + auxiliary. I think I'll just stick to the thermostat.
