This app works as one would expect it should. The reason for most of the poor reviews is that many Seville units, including mine, ship with the USB dongle for Alexa support which doesn't include support for the actual Seville app. I purchased the Seville Smart Wi-Fi Kit separately, at the egregious price of $112 Canadian after tax I might add. After installation the setup was straight forward. Make sure you're connecting to a 2.5ghz Wi-Fi connection as 5ghz isn't supported.

I have two outside compressors and 5 inside head units. From day one I have had only one issue. I programmed ON / OFF times for the summer months. It was working great, but one day, all my programs just vanished. A few days later, they came back. Not sure what the issue was. As for the units themselves, I am going to say they work great. I added them in place of two window AC units and a Coal Stove for heat. The house is comfortable, and I do not have to mess with window AC units or the winter time mess dumping coal ash and loading coal every day.

I assume this app has poor reviews because people are trying to use this app with the Alexa adapter that comes with the unit. THIS APP IS FOR THE SEVILLE WI-FI ADAPTER FOR ANDROID AND IOS PURCHASED SEPARATELY, NOT THE ALEXA WI-FI ADAPTER THAT COMES WITH THE UNIT. THIS APP WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY WITH THE ALEXA ADAPTER! 100 times better than the Alexa app. You can access ALL functions including schedules and freeze protection mode. Also, you need to connect to 2.4g the app doesn't support 5g.

This app ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT connect to my new split a/c unit!? It can't find the device and the QR code says "incorrect QR code?" I've tried the cellular data trick, turn Wi-Fi on & off, pressed left, right, left, right, up, down, down, up, A, A, B, A, Select and still nothing?!?!? WHY??? Fix your junk!!!

Seville app doesn't work. Seville app cannot find my Split Type AC under Add Device. I rather use Seville app than Amazon Alexa. Alexa is messing up the Split Unit, most of the time Alexa is not recognizing the Split Unit. Saying Power is off but Split Unit is on and running. Need help from Seville. I don't want to use Alexa. Alexa suck 👎👎👎. Why use Alexa when Seville app from manufacturer app is available, I need help from Seville to help me connect my device to your app.
