Where I've Been lets you track your travels, automatically marking every place you visit on a global grid of cells (about 100 meters / 300 feet wide).
Whether you're walking around your neighbourhood or exploring a new country, Where I've Been keeps a visual record of all the places you have visited. You can view statistics, find the gaps you want to complete, and even import GPX files or Google Timeline data from past trips to fill in the gaps.

Love the app/privacy focus. Tried alternatives, this is my favorite. Wishlist: 1) Setting to only track when the app is open. I use this for walks, not drives. I can open the settings and turn on/off "enable location tracking" each time, but if I forget it'll ruin my map. 2) The option to manually fill in/remove cells. It could let me fully fill in areas without trespassing, or remove areas if I accidentally leave background tracking on. 3) even smaller hexes zoomed in. 4) F-Droid availability.

Works surprisingly well and is really cool to have like a map of where I've been. I can literally look at it and think back on my holidays or outings I did wherever, because it's all purple then. Also, it's configured great, doesn't use much battery and is cool to compare with friends :)

Love the concept and was able to import my Google timeline that I can't access with Google anymore so that's nice!
