Choose the words you want to draw, then move your finger across the canvas. Text Brush places the phrase along your path so the lettering becomes part of the image instead of sitting in a rigid text box. The same text-on-path rendering is used for the preview and the finished export, helping your saved result match the composition you designed.

Pick a photo or video from your library and start creating immediately. Add text paths to a still image or use the same expressive drawing tools over moving footage. For video, preview the overlay as the clip plays and decide whether the lettering should appear for the whole video or only during a custom time range.

Text Brush shapes a complete phrase before placing it along the path. This helps preserve contextual letter forms, bidirectional text, ligatures, combining marks, fallback fonts, CJK characters, and emoji clusters. Text stays readable as it follows your gesture.

See the text directly on the photo or video while you work. Video controls let you play, pause, and seek through the clip so you can check the overlay at the moments that matter. Custom timing makes it possible to reveal the text only during the section you choose.

EXPORT YOUR CREATION

Export photos at their source dimensions with your lettering rendered on top. Export videos as widely compatible H.264 files while preserving the source orientation and audio. Finished creations can be saved back to Photos, ready to share in messages, social posts, stories, or personal projects.

Save one creation per local calendar day for free. When you need more, an in-app subscription unlocks unlimited photo and video exports. Restore Purchases is available in the app for previously purchased access.
