Heatmiser PRTHW-TS WiFi The thermostat/timer and app or Web interface are great and work well. However, the wifi set up was not easy. I have only basic computing skills and found it challenging. You will need to be confident in setting port forwarding in your wifi router, and create a hostname via a dynamic dns provider to enable the app to work. Its possible for anyone to do this, but the instructions are not very clear , so may take you some time and head scratching!! App is brilliant and easy to use. Once you get it going 10/10

Good app App occasionally crashes but works well. Comments saying static ip needed is wrong. Dynamic dns works perfect, i use remotely with no static ip.

Poor app, system fails to deliver Can link up while at home and from afar via internet but not with this app. The app is poorly constructed and doesn't give any feedback as to the reason for failed connection to the wall unit. Sometimes by taking out the WAN value can yield a connection via wireless on local network. After trying to connect over the web, application will then fail to reconnect via wireless. Notice you can 'reset' app to then work over wireless by trying it on the demo function and then retrying over wireless. Needs a serious bit of work done to make it work smoothly, and connect from afar can't -recommend at present

If you want a £180 room thermostat,buy this, if u want something to control your heating on android buy one of the easy to setup alternatives . Come on Heatmiser, this could be a great product if you made it easier to set up, you were one of the first to bring this type of device to market,and could of been the market leader. now their are loads of companies doing them, even boiler manufacturers and they are all far simpler to set up and they work properly over wifi/3g. Had this 2 years now & spent hours trying to get it to work as advertised and it's never worked properly. Can't recommend heatmiser to any one based on my experience of it
