Connect is a life-saving app that links users to mental health and substance use resources. Connect is all-encompassing and helpful for anyone seeking to improve their mental health or access emergency resources and services.
Some of the key features include:
Use Alone Timer Stay protected during substance use. App users can begin the timer prior to consumption and reset the timer when they are safe. If they become unresponsive, paramedics will be automatically alerted.
Drug Alerts and Notifications Get up to date details about toxic drugs and important information in your area directly to your phone. Turn on the push notifications for instant updates, or check the app to see the most recent alerts.
Services Near Me Find services in your area and get location details, hours, contact numbers and more. Filter and search by type of service to find what you need the most such as supervised consumption sites, health clinics, harm reduction supplies and more.
Resources Be connected with the most important mental health and substance use resources at the click of a button. Connect is the centralized place to find access to help lines, chats, education resources, and emergency support.
Connect was developed in collaboration with British Columbia Emergency Health Services and Provincial Health Services of British Columbia, enabled by the British Columba Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions. Connect is intended for use within British Columbia and Ontario. Select features may not be available, accessible, or functional outside of British Columbia and Ontario. If you would like to request Connect for your region, please contact support@lifeguarddh.com.
Privacy & Security No personally identifiable information is collected through Connect. Aggregated data, such as the number of users in a particular city, is anonymous. Lifeguard Digital Health cannot see any personal information, and the anonymized data is not available or sold to any other person, entity, government department, or service. Connect is compliant with all industry privacy practices and regulations and meets the highest global standards. When emergency services are contacted through Connect, associated call details are erased from the app once paramedics are dispatched. Personal data is neither collected nor retained by Lifeguard Digital Health. In the event of a timer alert, only emergency services will gain access to user data, such as their current location. Data is anonymized and used for informing regional public health prevention response parties.

Lifeguard Connect literally saved my life!! I was using alone. Every time I inhale opioids, I'd set timer, but was able to reset it every time until the one time I set timer, and before I knew it, I woke up to emergency responders!! ❤️ I live in a rural area. Used app for Use Alone Timer and must say if more addicts would put the effort into using app, I think it would greatly help the overdose crisis 'round the world, but I have to warn, there's lil leeway b'tween the time the buzzer starts & ur final chance to deactivate it. I failed to react quick enuf (which was only 6 secs from start of buzzer) and unbeknownst 2 me it sent the alert to medics. Only issue: wish app told me I hit button 2 late & medics were alerted. GREAT response, app, everything!

It has made it, that I now, feel safer, when I use alone in my private suite, in an SRO and I have, the highest percentage, in receiving immediate response for Emergency services and, or my 24/7 Front desk Staffing, including Narc an doses, CPR, etc. & surviving if I, do overdose instead, of dieing. I, 100% do, highly recommend this Lifeguard app for all and any person, who mainly and, or sometimes use drugs, alone and, or live in an SRO or a Harm Reduction Supportive Housing too. It saves lives

Stupidest app ever! If a drug addict is so worried about OD a dieing then GET HELP! If not then do society a favor a find that one great hit your looking for. Kids in the world are straving to death, but we are too worried about junkies. Who ever approves this app needs to give their heads a shake

I'm giving one star because it doesn't even work it says not available in my area and that's area is every were iv tried everything and every were and iv been recommended this app multiple times from paramedics outreach workers there are cards about this app every were why the heck isn't it working some application this is :/ so much for feeling safe while using alone

I can't even join up for the app because it wants to verify my phone number. Well my Wi-Fi app won't allow me to receive verification codes, and it has no option to bypass giving my phone number.
