BRISK WALKING BENEFITS YOUR HEALTH
We all know how important it is to be active. The good news is you don’t have to go to the gym or start expensive fitness programmes, walking briskly counts too!
Just ten minutes of brisk walking every day can get your heart pumping and can make you feel more energetic, as well as lowering your risk of serious illnesses like heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Going for a brisk walk is a great way to clear your head and improve your mood.
Active 10's are simple to fit into your day, from taking the dog out to going for a lunchtime walk there are lots of opportunities to include brisk walking into your daily routine.
This app relies on your phone’s inbuilt sensors to measure your activity so you may experience varying levels of accuracy especially in older devices/operating systems. To improve accuracy, we recommend keeping your phone in a pocket close to your body rather than in a loose coat pocket or bag.
If you have any feedback on how we can improve the app please send it to BetterHealth
Recent changes: We’ve improved our recently introduced Google Health Connect integration to provide a more stable and reliable experience when tracking your activity.

Great way to encourage you to go and have a "brisk" walk and improve general wellbeing Pace Calcutta works well but could add distanced walked as well as minutes

Keeps changing my life! I found this app in a very low phase of my life. Was struggling with mental health, fatigue, my fitness was down in misery lane, and I didn't know what to do about it. With this app I have been able to monitor my levels of fatigue, by how many minutes of brisk walking I can do in a day. There is also a bunch of useful information and will also take to the NHS website where you can find exercises you can do from your chair or sofa at home!

This started out great, really helpful in tracking brisk walking over each week. However, it is now deleting recorded walks. So this week I've done two 40+ minute walks and two 20+ minute walks. All showed up at the time but now three of them have just vanished, and it says I did zero minutes on those days. This has previously happened to individual walks, and I've put up with it but losing more than half of my walks is ridiculous and renders the app pointless.

It's a nice looking app, however I have just completed 30 minutes of brisk walking on the treadmill, and it didn't record anything! A bit pointless

The app was decent, but now it seems to reset days I've done or reduce the minutes I've walked. This really needs to get sorted.
