Description
Important: SBB Preview is the preview version of the SBB Mobile app. We are using SBB Preview to test new and innovative functions and features which we want to include in the SBB Mobile app in future.
The basic functions for timetable enquiries – and for ticket purchases – for journeys anywhere in Switzerland are the same in SBB Preview as in SBB Mobile. We’ve kept the Preview app in grey to make it easier to distinguish.
The heart of the app is the new navigation bar with the following menu points and contents:
Plan: • Plan your journey with a simple timetable request via the touch timetable or use your current position as the origin or destination, locating it on the map. • Buy your ticket for the whole of Switzerland in just two clicks. Your travelcards on your SwissPass are applied. • Travel particularly affordably with supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.
Trips: • When purchasing tickets, your journey will be saved in the ‘Journeys’ tab. • Even if you don’t buy a ticket, you can save your journey manually in the timetable. • The app accompanies you from door to door as you travel and you will receive information about delays, disruption and interchange times via push notification.
EasyRide: • Check in, get on and set off – across the entire GA Travelcard network. • EasyRide calculates the right ticket for your journey on the basis of the routes you travelled on and charges you the relevant amount subsequently.
Tickets and travelcards: • Show your public transport travelcards digitally with SwissPass Mobile. • It also gives you an overview of your valid and expired tickets and travelcards on the SwissPass.
Profile: • Straightforward access to your personal settings and our customer support.

Data security and authorisations. Why does SBB Preview need permissions?
Location: For connections starting from a current location, the GPS function has to be activated so that SBB Preview can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.
Calendar and e-mail: You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Preview requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.
Access to the camera: To take photos straight in SBB Preview for the personalised touch timetable, the app needs access to the camera. You will be asked for permission.
Internet access: SBB Preview needs internet access for timetable informations and ticket purchase options.
Memory: To support offline functions such as the list of stops, connections (history) and ticket purchase, SBB Preview needs access to your device’s memory (save app-specific settings).

Please allow an increase in the number of departure boards we can add. Currently, it is 5 max. I would also like the option to see more than the 5 next trains on each departure board.

What about a push-notification if a saved trip is delayed? Recurring saved My Trips disappear. I re-saved them a dozen times in the course of the last 2–3 months since the problem exists, couldn't find a pattern though yet.

Awesome developper team ! Thanks to you all :) Feature suggestion: having an option to keep a notification featuring current trip status (with timeline, delays, track numbers, share ETA...) that would be SO useful, and it'll make people save their trips instead of going back to look at the timetable to know what's up with their train. ♥️

Right now when you activate my ride the qr code crashes, and you cannot show the ticket with my ride. Even worse they will then send you a ticket and ask you to pay a fine even you did nothing wrong. You will need to discuss at counter with that good luck.... Update: they cancelled my fine but the app still cannot open the qr code and that's problematic. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, and it still doesn't work re update: now it works. Thanks

With the previous update the notifications were turned off again, which caused my reminder macro to log out of easy ride to fail. I guess this change to the notification settings shouldn't happen?

Myride could be a great thing if most of the tickets wouldn't be more expensive than the classic price on the normal app. Price is now based on distance and their calculation make it, so you spend more in the beginning (including -10% "offered") to have better prices later in the month as you spend more and unlock the next tiers). All the below are more expensive with the my ride original price than on the normal app. Basel - Zürich Bern - Basel Zürich Bern Basel - Biel Zürich - Biel

I find it horrible that you ported the "location missing" message in the timetable to the main app. No location access is needed for the timetable, why show a message? And even more pressing why can't I hide it?

First launch: privacy policy mentions ads. Off to a good start. I already pay for the service. I'm a customer, not the product. Accept or "Manage settings" that conveniently leads to a "Loading error" page and a button to manage later. Is this even nLPD/GDPR-compliant to make the user force accept abusive privacy policy? Oh and how about you update the data sharing to third-party disclaimer on Google store to reflect your privacy policy? EDIT: please stop it with that kind of generic corpospeach

Was excellent, now bad! The Nov 2020 update removed all my custom tiles with pictures in the touch timetable, and replaced them with tiles for other places!! And it doesn't seem possible to move or resize the tiles the app decided to put on that screen! And I guess there is no way to go back to the previous version, and no way to get my custom configuration back.

The app shows reason for delay as an "incident in another country" - the fact is that there are construction works in the new Lotschberg, so the train is diverted via the old Lotschberg. I've seen similar "incidents". Please stop telling us these porkies. But it felt reassuring to hear from the conductor that others had expressed the same concern! Do you system use this kind of logic - international train, no other reason available therefore reason is "incident in another country"? Fix it!
