Ignore all the 1-star reviews of the people that have no idea what they are doing. If you cant use this simple tool you don't need to be working on appliances. I use this every day and have never had an issue with it. Now if there is no service you can't use it, but you have to be smarter than that and connect to Wi-Fi. If you're doing a firmware update with no service that's on you. 10/10 would recommend one for every appliance brand.

This app and device have made diagnosing, and fixing GE appliances so much easier. I hope everyone goes this direction, but if you don't have this it's 1000% worth it. Even without a nufi.

Tech support is horrible, Android app won't even start, smarthq device won't talk with appliance most of the time, go to download software updates for appliance and it just sits there doing nothing, all around good thought but needs tons of work.

Poorly designed. Confusing login process, must ask permission of GE to access stove via Wi-Fi. Permission supposed to be granted in 24 hrs, 72 hrs later still waiting. Can't use some features like air fryer w/o GE permission? This app is the one a consumer is direct to in stove manual. Yes, am I using smart HQ app. Am a consumer not a service tech. Just want to access all features of this very expensive product. 4 days later and no response to request for access to the product I paid for.
