I had some initial trouble activating a subscription started on TNR's website (perhaps it took a few days for the database to refresh since it's a new subscription), but once working I found the app to be decently functional, good-looking, and well laid out. I appreciate the option to save articles, though I haven't used it yet.

A venerable American institution, the New Republic provides a reliable and wide-ranging oversight of the health of democracy in the US. In part an observer and in part a champion of the American constitutional democracy, it helps those of us who lives elsewhere what America is/should be, the privileges and burdens of leadership in the world. Definitely worth reading.
★★★★★
I was reaching my limit on free articles. I knew that I needed this very informative news and opinion source in my list of news sites. Spending just a small amount of money for this service was an easy decision.
★★☆☆☆
Fraudulent app. I'm being charged for a subscription but can't access content
★★☆☆☆
Terrible app. I have a subscription to print edition, but I am unable to log in to this app or the online site. Customer service is unable to help. Fine magazine, but its electronic efforts are a failure. Will uninstall.
★★☆☆☆
Effectively impossible to sign into the app. Multiple methods for signing in are provided, but all require an absurd amount of information and then still require you to create an additional account. There are banking apps that are easier to access. Furthermore, the app fails to recognize the city field, even when a value has been entered into it. In the end, it's simply not worth the trouble. Uninstalled.
