False advertising is what this looks like, i also cannot get the wifi to hook up with router right next to it. Other wise fireplace is very pretty an heats room nicely. Was finally able to connect to it via my daughters phone an than my started working.

I tried to set this up on a Google Pixel 2 that is on 9.0 Android software. Would not work. Had to pull out an old 7.0 Android software phone to get it set up. On the old phone I noticed it showed the WiFi network before I set up the WiFi. Please get this fixed as now that it is set up on the older phone it will not work on the newer phone yet. Will be using the older phone for now. Edited 11-2019 Just installed this on my Android 10 phone and it works. Giving them 4 stars now since it works.

App is useless! It tells me to check my wifi connection and try again. Checked both my phone and router and all is connected and working fine otherwise. Even rebooted and updated my router and rebooted my phone and still doesn't work. looks like this is a consistent problem for people for many months now so apparently they don't plant on fixing the app at all. The app doesn't do anything that the remote cannot do so I will use the product as is, but basically it is false advertising IMO.
