Breadcrumbs – Trail Mapper

Your hiking adventure journal. Map trails, drop waypoints, capture every view.

Breadcrumbs turns each hike into a record you can revisit for years. Drop landmarks at the things you find — a wildflower, a viewpoint, a perfect lunch rock — pin photos to them, and watch your trail unfold on a detailed map. Months later, scroll through every adventure you've taken, organized by where it happened.

Perfect for:
🥾 Day hikes and weekend backpacking trips
🏃 Trail running and ultra training
🐕 Dog walks and neighborhood explorations
👨‍👩‍👧 Family nature outings with the kids
🍄 Geocaching, foraging, and birding
📸 Photography walks where the location matters
⛰️ Peak bagging and summit logging

Map every step
Precision GPS tracking draws your route as you walk. Pause when you stop, resume when you start. Your full path is preserved — not just your start and finish.

Drop landmarks anywhere
Tap once to mark a viewpoint, water source, trail junction, or campsite. Your waypoints live forever on the map, building a personal atlas of every place worth remembering. Future hikes show your past discoveries on the same map, so you'll never forget where you found that perfect spot.

Photos pinned to the map
Snap a photo at any landmark and it's anchored to that exact GPS point. Re-open a hike weeks later and your memories are organized by location — not just by date. Browse a visual gallery of every landmark you've ever recorded across every trail.

Your full trail history
Every hike is saved automatically. Browse by week, month, or year. See lifetime stats at a glance: total distance, total trails, total time outside, total steps. Watch your year fill up with adventure.

Step counting & fitness tracking
A built-in pedometer counts your steps and active time on every hike. No extra app, no separate device. Distance, pace, and elevation are tracked automatically.

Share what you find
Export any route as a shareable map snapshot. Send a friend the trail you took, the viewpoint you found, or the loop you'd recommend.

A note on offline use
GPS tracking and waypoint drops work fully offline — your route is recorded even with zero signal. Map tiles require a connection to display, so pre-load your area before heading into the backcountry.

Privacy first
Your routes, photos, and landmarks live on your device. Breadcrumbs doesn't sell your location data, doesn't post to social platforms unless you ask it to, and doesn't require an account to start tracking.

Built by a hiker, for hikers
Breadcrumbs is an independent project, made because most fitness apps forget where you've been the moment you close them. If something's missing or broken, I read every email.

Drop your first breadcrumb today. The next great trail is the one you'll remember.
