★★★★★ I bought a used smoker with smart chef, and it wouldn't work properly and connect to my Wi-Fi. So I called support, and they walked me through resetting the smoker to work on my Wi-Fi as the smoker can only store the information to connect to one Wi-Fi network. After that it worked flawlessly. It's very easy to use and has presets for the most popular meats to smoke, and you can keep an eye on your food in the app from anywhere I'm really not sure why their smart chef stuff gets so much hate

★★★★★ If you're reading this, set this smoker RIGHT IN FRONT of your router for initial set up, then you can move it outside (as long as it's not too far, or get a Wi-Fi extender if needed). Mine works perfectly once I figured out how to configure it. 4 stars because it's a headache, but once it's working, it's great!

★★☆☆☆ This app is no longer supported as char-broil will not allow it to connect to their servers. Char-broil advised that I should use the pit boss app, then the smoke-it app. Neither of which works with my char-broil smoker. After numerous calls and over a week they said none of the apps will work with the char-broil smoker. The smoker is Wi-Fi control only, so it is now a brick. Good to know that when they need to sell more smokers they can remotely turn everyone's smoker into a brick

★★☆☆☆ Will not connect to my Android phone. And you can't cook on it unless the app in installed, So my advice too everyone is not BUY. Horrible design. Char-broil you should close your doors a go work for Weber.
