HOSHINZO helps you regulate your nervous system through breathing.

You pick how you feel right now: acute stress, anxiety, lack of focus, fatigue, pre-performance or recovery. The app guides you to the most suitable breathing protocol among 11 documented techniques.

WHAT MAKES HOSHINZO DIFFERENT

Most breathing apps treat every technique as equally valid. HOSHINZO takes a radically transparent approach: each protocol displays its level of evidence, rated using a framework adapted from the GRADE methodology. You always know what you're relying on — whether a technique grounded in published studies or a practice with more limited evidence.
Every protocol links to its published references: Cardiac Coherence, Cyclic Sighing (RCT, Stanford 2023), 4-7-8 Breathing, Box Breathing, Nadi Shodhana, and more.

HOW IT WORKS

Breathing is one of the few voluntary levers on the autonomic nervous system. A prolonged exhale is associated with vagus nerve stimulation and may activate the body's "rest" mode. A rhythm of six cycles per minute promotes synchronization of heart and breath — that's cardiac coherence. Each technique is associated with an identified physiological mechanism, clearly explained in the app.
