May I suggest that, rather than saying we must remove virtual space only to then lock people out of the app, perhaps give users the option of deregistering the current device so that they can then register the app from outside the secure folder (which evidently causes the problem). Also, 'virtual space' is not clear to most people excepting those who have recently installed such. I have used the app in a secure folder for a couple of years, so it took a while to figure out the problem. Thank you

Everyone who wants to use the app must switch to a keyboard that is terribly difficult to use. Citibank has similar security restrictions; however, it does not require users to use such an inconvenient keyboard for everyday tasks. Users can authenticate with their fingerprint and access features such as checking account balances without changing keyboards. Only when performing sensitive transactions or making changes is a keyboard switch required.

Flagged my antivirus 'Malware bytes' as a security risk and refused to let me use the app. Giving 1 star until HSBC fixes this problem.

The only banking app to force me to disable developer options on my phone. Go fly a kite. Edit, responding to their reply: a lot of people use Developer Mode for their own reasons. I'm not turning it off (needs a restart) every single time I need to use the HSBC app. Will be closing my accounts. No other banking app does this. Dumb developers.
