Bank app is as is. only thing is when new or new features appear. Theirs no training on how to use the feature. I struggle with this side of forced banking.

Constant crashing when starting up. The logo appears then it closes after a few seconds. I have to restart my phone to get it to run. Then the next time I try the app, the same problem and I have to reboot again for it to work. No updates waiting and no problems with any other apps. My daughter has exactly the same issue with the HSBC app on her phone.

Specifically stops you linking to other banks by being completely awful. Firstly opens a mobile browser and then asks you to scan a qr code (so dumb) but when you manage to get it on a computer half the time the page doesn't load a qr code the other time the app can't handle scanning it and just says try again. Probably time to leave HSBC if they're this bad at apps god knows how bad they are with all others security

Still 3rd party payment is broken, they expect you to have 2 different devices to make payment, and they refuse to acknowledge it is a problem. Their support (contacted many times) is useless and just says use two devices. I can't even imagine how incompetent their ux team are (if they have one). I've slowly started moving away from them to other banks that actually cares about customers experience. If you look at latest reviews It's clearly not just me having the issue.
