Description
To work with the application, you need to learn the “Triple-column technique“ from the book by David D. Burns “Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy“.
The app is not official!
American psychiatrist David D. Burns, working in the field of cognitive psychology, developed a method “triple-column technique“. This method, in combination with other methods described in his books, helps people how to get out of depression and increase their level of happiness. CBT thought diary app allows you to work with the “Triple-column technique“ directly on your device. Thanks to him, you can more quickly, give a rational answer to automatic thoughts.
Having started working on the book of David D. Burns, I discovered for myself the effectiveness of this method. I began to notice cognitive distortions in my thoughts, only a pen and paper were far from always at hand, and sometimes their use was not appropriate. So I decided to write an application for myself. It was further developed so that you would have the opportunity to use it.

Automatic thoughts Automatic negative thoughts are the result of disturbances in the process of cognition. Fleeting appraisal thoughts that arise as a person’s reaction to certain circumstances and are not the result of reflection, inference, not necessarily based on evidence, but usually accepted by him for truth. Cognitive distortions They are easily detected when analyzing “automatic thoughts”. People tend to create their own “subjective social reality”, depending on their perception, and this subjective reality can determine their behavior in society. Thus, cognitive distortions can lead to inaccurate judgments, illogical interpretations, or irrationality in behavior in the broad sense of the word. CBT thought record diary.
Rational response This is the main step in changing your mood. After a careful study of automatic thought, identified violations in the process of perception, it is necessary to give a "rational response." It must be logical in order to show all the lies and absurdity of automatic thoughts. Make sure that your “rational response” is convincing, realistic and you believe in your refutation. Cognitive behavioral therapy app Cognitive behavioral therapy, based on the assumption that the basis of psychological problems, and sometimes mental disorders of a person, are thinking errors, and aimed at changing illogical or inappropriate thoughts and beliefs of a person, as well as dysfunctional stereotypes of his thinking and perception. Depression test offline The Burns Depression Checklist (BDC) is a rating scale for depression copyrighted by Burns. The 1984 version was a 15-question survey; the 1996 revision is a 25-question survey. Each question is answered on a scale from 0 to 4, and the result is assigned to one of six levels of depression.

Just what I needed! It can be painful to get up and write your thoughts when you're lying in your bed ruminating about them. Hopefully I'll be using this app a lot. Brilliant companion to my copy of "Feeling Good"!

Great. Not too many ads and they're all placed at the right time. Needs the distortion "fortune-telling" and "mind reading". Other than that, excellent and fast app. Note that it is not like the daily mood log as it doesn't have you note down all of your emotions as percentages, but I tend to title my log as "Date - Emotion - Main thought" to help manage this.

Having a tool to apply Feeling Good book exercises is awesome. I love this book and being able to look back on sessions to identify bottlenecks holding me back from growth. Thank you
