This app is all about taking 360 photos of my phone, but no matter where I look (app and website) it never gives me the option to use my phone to take the 360 shot. It only gives me the option to upload photos or use a dedicated 360 camera that I don't have. My phone is a little old, but it is perfectly capable to take 360 photos. I don't know if it's because I'm using an android phone or because of something else.

You can not use your phone as shown in their images. This feature appears to have been removed. You either have to have their recommended equipment or upload from your phones' gallery. The function to align the ying and yang is not available.
