★★★★★ The setup of a new account does not work when Firefox is set as the default browser. I needed to change the default browser settings to chrome before clicking the activation link that one receives by SMS. What I find a bit of obscure is the fact that I am able to log in with an SMS code as well which (today) isn't security best practice.

The activation code sent via text just opens the Google Play Store, but not the app. At no point it is possible to enter an activation code in the app. There is no way to trigger an activation via QR code from the website. I'm giving up. This is the worst of online banking I've ever seen. Stay away from Santander.
