Having used this app for 2 years for my mobile banking, without any pre warning hsbc revised the app and directed me to install a new app. This app now will not install on my phone and I have no way to access my hsbc accounts. The only option is to purchase a new phone. I think this ignorant action from the bank is highly unsatisfactory.

BADLY designed app: to make a transfer to a new contact/business you need to 'add payee'. After providing their details you need to authorize their addition (e.g. with your 6 pin code). HOWEVER, the keyboard is not available. In other words you are unable to proceed with adding details; nor make a transfer! Considering a money transfer is a 'somewhat' useful feature in a banking app -- it fails to deliver.

I regret opening an account with HSBC Expat. Took 6 months to fix my app access, and then it broke the next day. Customer service doesn't call back as they promise to provide an update. They are holding my money and requested to return my money and close the account which is also Customer support can't do. DO NOT open account with them. They are designed to eat your money.

No longer compatible with my device android version, and now I need to buy a new phone to manage my money!!! Otherwise I should ask for a physical secure key which will lead to closing my global money account!!!
