Other reviews mentioning battery usage may be believing the Android system's battery statistics, which don't consider actual CPU utilization. Install Accurately for real metrics. Yes, this app does continuously run a foreground service, but it refreshes its GPS fix only infrequently until you actually start driving. No big deal there. The bigger problem is that this app will "double tap," registering multiple events for what was actually a single occurrence of safe braking at a yellow light.

This app actually sends you to progressives app. That's what it is used for. It keeps track of your driving skills and distances. Forthemost part it's good at detecting what mode of transportation you are using and if you are the driver or not. But it's not perfect and the designer knew this, so there is an option to be able to change the mode of transportation and if you were the driver or not. It can also detect if you have been in a wreck and directs you to call progressive.

Worked as described with no problems. I use the insurance app progressive, and it has snapshot in it, so I uninstalled snapshot.

I had a driving score at 91 and my bill WENT UP?! I switched insurance companies, and now I pay half of what progressive was charging me. Snapshot is useless and a nuisance and doesn't save any money.

It's always on and drains your battery really badly. Also, you have to go in and edit the trips it records if you are a passenger. Otherwise, it will record that trip as if you were driving. Also, as a travel nurse, it is difficult to prove my garaging address, which Progressive is threatening to cancel my policy over. This overall experience has been a monumental headache. I'm probably just going to switch car insurance companies.

The app does not make sense. There is no rhyme or reason when the app will say you did a good brake. If get a text while driving it say you use your phone. And using you gps is phone usages.
