Virtually enables you to free consultations with UK-based NHS Doctors and Nurses online, meaning no more waiting weeks to see your GP, tackling busy reception phone lines, or time off work.
Join the thousands of patients getting doctors notes, repeat contraception, referral letters and health advice all for free within a few taps online. You can choose from a telephone call, video call or written advice at a day and time that works for you. We can help you with anything your traditional GP can – minus the long waits, or inconvenience of travel and time off work!
It only takes a few minutes to register and you can do it through the app from wherever you are, without the need to travel.
Who is Virtually?
We are a full-service NHS GP. So when you register with us, we will transfer your clinical records to our practice and you'll be deregistered from your current GP. After we see you, we'll send your prescription to a local pharmacy of your choice. We can make referrals for hospital and specialist appointments. Just because we're digital-first that doesn't mean you can't see us face-to-face. If you need to see a doctor in-person you can book to see us at our North London clinic. Virtually was created by NHS professionals who recognise the challenges patients have in accessing healthcare.
Is Virtually right for me?
Virtually is perfect for anyone who struggles to get an appointment with their existing NHS GP. If you prefer the idea of speaking to a doctor or nurse online from the comfort of your own home or workplace then Virtually is ideal for you. We have free NHS appointments online Monday to Friday. You won't be giving up the ability to see a clinician in person. You are always welcome to see us face to face at our North London GP surgery. You don't need to be registered with a GP to join. The service is ideal for those living up to 1 hour from our North London clinic. You can find out whether your location is suitable by entering your postcode in the app. Although the majority of patients that register with us see us online, if you do not feel you can reasonably get to our North London clinic (N19) within an hour of travel in the event that you do need to see a doctor or nurse in person, please do not register until we have a clinic in your area.
Is my data safe?
All of the personal or sensitive information we hold about you is protected by encryption and held in secure UK-based data centers. We ask you to not share the password to your Virtually account with anyone to uphold the security of your account. Our platform has been verified by the NHS and the service is fully NHS funded and run. Just like other based UK NHS GPs, we're regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
How soon can I get an appointment?
We aim to always have clinicians available either the same day or the next day (depending on the time of day you are booking your appointment) for digital appointments. In-person appointments may be a slightly longer wait. Do my NHS records get transferred to Virtually? To make sure we can give you the best care we need access to your NHS record. This helps us learn about your medical history and preferences. NHS England only allows you to be registered to one GP practice, so if you register with us we'll transfer your records from your current registered GP to us and you'll be automatically deregistered from your existing practice. When you register with us we ask you for information about your identity, your previous address and previous GP practice this is so we can trace your NHS GP records. It is important to provide this information to us correctly so that we can accurately and quickly trace your records. We'll receive your paper and electronic records and transfer everything for you. After registering, you won't need to do anything else, the rest is left to us.

I have recently been through major heart surgery, and am still in recovery self-isolating at home. Having this service available to me at this scary time with Coronavirus has been an absolute god send. The doctor who saw me online in consultation was so caring, understanding, and really put my mind at rest. Virtually has really helped me to get the help and support I need without having to leave my house. I've had issues with other GP that I don't have with Virtually, I really appreciate all the GPs, nurses, pharmacist I speak to! This service has been a lifesaver for me in the current situation of COVID-19, as I'm classed as vulnerable. Not having to attend in person to be seen by a doctor, or nurse and having a consultation online has been incredibly helpful, and so much safer. I was seen within 24 hours, and even had my prescription sent across the road from my house to my nominated pharmacy. It's a fantastic way forwards for me, and I highly recommend this service. Rubbish! Worst decision ever regarding my health. They lie they call you then cancel your appointment. There is no-one available even if is urgent, they just tell you to call 111 or go to a&e. They are not even capable to sort out your prescription without messing up something. Application has bugs, long wait for appointments and many more!
